The Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Aichi Prefectural Handa Senior High School and Mahidol Wittayanusorn School

On January 26, 2018, MWITS Principal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiwat Ruenglertpanyakul and Mr. Satoru Sawada, the Principal of Aichi Prefectural Handa Senior High School, in Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Academic and Cultural Exchange Program for Teachers and Students between the two schools at Mahidol Wittayanusorn School.

Mr. Satoru Sawada led the team consisting of Mr. Daiki Ishikawa, an English teacher, and three students: Miss Miwa Idemitsu, Mr. Yuya Iwasaki, and Miss Nanami Yoshida. The group participated MWITS Science Fair on January 27, 2018 to present the project entitled: “Research into the Influence of Ions in Seawater on Plant Growth”

Both parties decided that signing of the MOU will advance their cooperative relations. Mr. Sawada and Dr. Ruenglertpanyakul took this opportunity to strengthen the academic collaborations and highlight the closer partnership between the two schools. Aichi Prefectural Handa Senior High School and Mahidol Wittayanusorn School plan to promote collaborative research and exchange research information on the gifted education and to stimulate networking among students and teachers.

With Aichi Prefectural Handa Senior High School, Japan added to MWITS network of partner schools, now MWITS has 17 high school affiliates located in 10 countries; Australia (2), China (1), Germany (2), Hong Kong (1), Israel (1), Japan (3), Korea (2), Russia (1), Singapore (3), and the United Kingdom (1).
